RYCOTE SALE & PURCHASE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully – you will need to accept them every time you make a purchase from this website. These Terms and Conditions may change from time to time. You may view the most current version of these Terms and Conditions at any time on this page.

Placing an Order

If you make a mistake whilst placing your order, you may correct any errors right up until the time you confirm payment. Once you are happy everything is correct and you have submitted an order, you will be given an Order Number and details of the product(s) you have ordered. You will then receive an e-mail headed “Order Acknowledgement” confirming receipt of your order. We will send a further e-mail headed “Order Confirmation”, which also lets you know how and when your product(s) will be delivered to you. Unless we otherwise agree with you, all goods ordered will be delivered within 30 days of your order being placed. If we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered, as referred to on the website, is wrong), we may have to cancel all or part of your order. In the event of that occurring, even if you have received your Order Confirmation, we will e-mail you to let you know as soon as possible. In those circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.

Prices and Payment

All our prices are stated in UK pounds. The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you order; VAT on that price; and any applicable delivery charge. You will see all those charges in your Shopping Basket before you submit your order. When ordering from our website, you may only pay for your purchases using a UK registered debit or credit card. Payment is deducted as soon as an order is submitted. We currently accept payment from: Visa; Visa Debit; Visa Electron; Mastercard; Debit Mastercard; American Express; Diners/Discover; JCB and PayPal. When deciding whether to accept an order, we may use certain information about you, including any information received from our accredited identity verification partner. For example, we may pass on your details for them to check against certain public and private databases. This will help to protect you and us from fraudulent activities. If we identify a transaction as being potentially fraudulent, we may cancel your order, even though you may have received an Order Confirmation e-mail.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Orders

If a product is damaged when it arrives, or an item is missing from your order, or you receive a product you did not order, please contact us within 48 hours of you receiving delivery by e-mailing us at orders@rycote.com. We will then arrange a refund or exchange and will either arrange for collection of any damaged or incorrect items from you at no additional cost to you or will reimburse you the cost of returning the items to us.

Returns/Cancellations and After Sales Policy

If for whatever reason you would like to return your order after delivery, we will refund or exchange your purchase as long as it is unopened and is in its original packaging. This option is available to you for 30 days after delivery. In accordance with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, we will accept items back, even if you have opened the goods to inspect them. You are entitled to a refund as long as you inform us of your decision to cancel within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery of the goods to you. You can examine the goods as you would in a shop, but to obtain a full refund you must not start using them. The goods must be in an “as new” condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories.

How to Cancel your Order/Claim a Refund

You may cancel your order (within the timeframes referred to above), by e-mailing us at orders@rycote.com. You will need to quote your Order Number. We cannot refund a purchase without proof of purchase from us.

but it is not obligatory.

If you cancel an order (within the timeframes referred to above), we will refund to you the cost of the product and the standard cost of delivering the product to you. If you chose a method of delivery other than the standard method, we will only refund the standard delivery cost.

If the goods are returned because they are damaged or are not the goods you ordered, we will also either arrange to collect the goods from you at no cost to you, or will reimburse you the cost of returning the goods to us. In all other circumstances, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.

We may also make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is as a result of any unnecessary handling by you.

Refunds will be credited to your payment card and may take up to 14 days to be processed following receipt by us of the returned goods or you providing evidence to us that the goods have been returned, whichever is the sooner. If we offer to collect the goods from you, the refund will be credited to your payment card within 14 days of you informing us of your decision to cancel your order.

Faulty Goods

If your product develops a fault within 30 days of delivery, we will offer either a repair, exchange or refund. If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period (24 months from delivery), we will offer you a prompt repair service. In all cases, we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

For a refund or exchange, the product must be in otherwise “as new” condition, complete with any accessories and with the original box and packaging.

To return a faulty product, you can arrange for collection by e-mailing us at tech_support@rycote.com.

Refunds for faulty goods include the applicable delivery charge and you will not be charged for collection.

We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

THIS RETURNS POLICY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

General

These Terms and Conditions, and all transactions relating to this website and all non-contractual obligations arising from any transaction carried out on this website are governed by the laws of England & Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales. We do not accept amendments to these Terms and Conditions.

Under EU Regulations, we are required to provide consumers with an electronic link to the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
